A member of the men's soccer program from 1987-90, Hawgood was a part of three straight CAC Championship teams in 1987, 1988, and 1989. 

He tied the school record for goals in a season with 20 in his freshman year. He duplicated the effort again during his junior campaign in 1989. 

His 68 career goals and 156 total points are both second in program history. 

A two-time All-College Athletic Conference (CAC) selection, he was named to the All-Region Team in 1987.
