Finished with a 22-4 record ... had a final NCAA ranking of No. 7... had ranked wins over No. 3 Williams, No. 9 W&L, No. 12 Mary Washington, No. 14 College of New Jersey, No. 20 Rhodes, No. 25 DePauw, and No. 14 NAIA ranked Lipscomb ... only losses were against No. 1 Amherst (5-4), No. 2 Trinity (7-2), No. 4 Skidmore (5-4), and No. 5 Emory ... (6-3) ... also won the Atlantic South Team Regional Championship during the spring season ... won both the ITA Atlantic South Singles and Doubles Championships ... also had the Atlantic South Senior Player of the Year, Arthur Ashe Award winner, and Player to Watch honoree ... posted five of the top-13 all-time singles season winning percentage records ... Katherine Crook and Emily Allen finished 15-1 in doubles, which set the school record for doubles single-season winning percentage ...  Players on the team were head coach Conchie Shackelford, Mary Missbach, Kathy North, Katherine Crook, Jackie North, Kathryn Pender, Natalie Wallace, Emily Allen, Sara Cameron, and Jenny Coleman.
