Set the school record for wins in a season (20)… Led both the SCAC and NCAA Division III in scoring, averaging 86 points per game… the 118-point explosion of Emory on Nov. 23 is the third-most in a game in Division III that season… Sewanee netted 192 triples on the season, setting a new SCAC record, and the 7.7 shots per game was the best in the nation… the Tigers led the league in assists (18.4) and steals (14.4)… Jen Bulkeley C’00 was the SCAC’s Player of the Year and named an All-American by four separate publications… Named NCAA Statistical Champion in field goal percentage (66.7%)… Michelle Chambers also earned First Team All-Conference and was an All-American by Women’s D-III News… Matched SCAC record for made 3-pointers with eight vs. Trinity on Feb. 26… Suzanne Smith C’01 was named All-SCAC Honorable Mention… Led the SCAC in 3-point field goals made with 73, and was fourth nationally in 3-pointers per game (3.0)…

2000-01 Women's Basketball Team

18-7 ~ 14-4 SCAC Record ~ SCAC Tri-Champions ~ SCHEDULE

Building off a stellar 2000 season, Sewanee finished 14-4 in league play… Entering the month of February with a 7-3 mark in SCAC play, the Tigers went 7-1 in its final eight conference games, including winning four straight to end the season… Sewanee’s 74-65 win at DePauw helped the Tigers secure the conference championship for the first time in history… Repeated as the league’s best scoring team with a 77.2 average, the team finished 11th in the nation… Majority of their points came from beyond the arc, as they drained 209 shots from downtown, leading all NCAA Division III teams … Chambers repeated on the All-SCAC First Team list, and was named an All-American for the second straight year… Averaging 16.6 points per game, she knocked down 77 triples, which is the eighth-most in the SCAC’s history… Jennifer Dick C’02 and Kayla Goodwin C’02 were named Honorable Mentions on the All-SCAC Team, while Heather Davidson C’04 was named to the All-First Year Team…
