Sewanee Drops 18-6 Decision to Emory

ATLANTA, Ga. 4/13/11 – The Emory Eagles defeated the Sewanee Tigers by the score of 18-6 in D-3 baseball action today in Atlanta.

With the loss, the Tigers fall to 10-18 on the season.

Seniors Will Farley and Chris Mauro led the 15-hit Sewanee attack with three hits each. Mauro drove in four runs and belted two doubles. Jack Rogers and Blake Williams chipped in two hits each.

Hugh Osteen was charged with the loss on the mound for the Tigers.

Sewanee will wrap up the 2011 season this weekend when they host instate rival Rhodes College in a three-game SCAC series. A doubleheader is schedule for Saturday beginning at noon.
