Teel named SAA Athlete of the Week

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Charlie Teel earned his first SAA Athlete of the Week honors this season, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Teel batted .562 (9-for-16) with a double, two home runs, three RBIs, and six runs scored in four games this week. He posted two hits with a two-run homer in a midweek contest against Maryville. He collected three hits in both ends of Saturday's doubleheader versus Millsaps, scoring twice in the first game and recording a double and one run scored in the second contest.

Also in Saturday's twinbill, he got the final three outs for a save in the opener, striking out one and inducing a groundball doubleplay to end the game. He hit a solo homer, walked once and scored two runs in Sunday's series finale against the Majors.
