Nischwitz garners second straight SAA Athlete of the Week honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Asa Nischwitz earned his second consecutive Athlete of the Week honor for men's lacrosse, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Nischwitz was named SAA Defensive Athlete of the Week following a dominant stretch at the faceoff X. The junior went 35-for-77 (.795) across three games, while collecting 22 ground balls. He was a perfect 7-for-7 in Sewanee's conference matchup against Hendrix on Sunday.

The Germantown, Tenn. native, Nischwitz currently leads the conference in both ground balls per game (8.7) and faceoff percentage (.734). He also ranks 14th nationally in faceoff percentage at .724, with national statistics updated through games played on March 20.
