SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee men's golfer
Turner Chiles will participate in the 2025 Patriot All-America Invitational set for December 29-31 at Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz., as announced Tuesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The tournament includes 84 men's players and 72 women's players in the 15
th annual event.
The unique aspect of the Patriot All-America Invitational is that the players, in addition to competing in a 54-hole stroke-play tournament, also honor military heroes. At the opening ceremony, each golfer receives and carries a commemorative PING golf bag that bears the name and branch of a fallen or wounded hero.
Additionally, all of the golfers have the opportunity to visit Luke Air Force Base, the training center for our nation's F-35 fighter pilots. There, they meet with the Base Commander, fighter pilots and crew, and tour the base while participating in activities rarely seen by civilians.
Chiles, a Houston, Texas, native, earned the Phil Mickelson National Freshman of the Year award as well as Second Team All-America honors in 2024-25. He posted a 71.39 scoring average over 23 rounds with 17 rounds of 72 or better and four in the 60s. He was also named SAA Co-Player of the Year, SAA Freshman of the Year and First Team All-SAA.
