McConnell, White voted Third Team All-Region

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Senior Stokes McConnell and sophomore Grayson White were voted Third Team All-Region VI by the United Soccer Coaches Association, as announced Tuesday by the national office.
 
McConnell netted nine goals with two assists while starting 13 of the team's 20 matches this season. The Sullivan's Island, S.C., native recorded five goals in Southern Athletic Association play, including both goals in a 2-1 win over Millsaps College as well as a two-goal effort earlier in the year versus Talladega College. McConnell scored in three consecutive SAA outings against Trinity University, Oglethorpe University and Berry College. He earned First Team All-SAA honors this season.
 
White led the Tigers with 10 goals and added three assists in 18 matches with 16 starts. The Columbia, S.C., native netted nine goals in the first eight outings of the year, including a hat trick against Maryville College and two goals versus Johns Hopkins and William Peace. He also garnered First Team All-SAA accolades.
 
Sewanee finished the season 12-4-4 overall and third in the SAA before falling in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.
