Shelton Griffith qualified for the Regional Championships in the Novice Division

IHSA Finishes Fourth in day one of MTSU Spring Show

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) took home fourth place in the MTSU Spring Show on Saturday. Shelton Griffith qualified for the Regional Championships in the Novice Division. The Tigers also had a first-place finish, two second-place finishes, and three third-place finishes for the day.

Freshman, Hannah Fitzgerald and Junior, Abdul Maflahi placed first and second respectively in the introductory division.

Laura-Ann Moore also took home a silver for the Tigers in the Limit Flat Division.

Mollie McWhorter and Kelly Baumgart collected third and fourth place in the Intermediate Flat, respectively.

Nell Grady and Campbell Flanagan both recorded third-place finishes in different divisions. Grady took bronze in Open Fences and Flanagan placed third in Open Flat.

Sewanee is currently in a tight run for the top of the conference as they are tied with Maryville for second place, sitting just one point behind Murry in the conference standings with 149 points.

The Tigers compete in day two of the MTSU Spring Show tomorrow, starting at 9 a.m. in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
