Tigers Claim Regional Title, Earn High Point Team Honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Emma Sameth and Lily Carter tied for reserve high-point rider as Sewanee's IHSA equestrian team was named High Point Team and secured the Regional Championship.

Sewanee finished second through fourth in open fences, as Emma Sameth placed second, Isabella Fioretti came in third, and Kelly Baumgart finished fourth. In open flat, Sameth added a first-place finish, while Baumgart came in second.

Carter placed second in intermediate fences and added a first-place finish in limit flat. London Eller and Isabelle Gentle added second- and third-place finishes for the Tigers in limit flat.

Maeve Raible collected another first-place finish for Sewanee in limit fences, while Gentle added a sixth-place result.

In intermediate flat, Elise Gierhart placed second and Fioretti finished sixth.

Lauren Scanlon won the novice division for Sewanee, while Afton Parks finished fourth and Abdul Maflahi came in fifth.

Isabela Cancado won the introductory division for Sewanee for the second day in a row, helping secure the High Point Team honors for the Tigers.
