Piper Nelson-Snyder crowned ODAC Fences Rider of the Week

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Freshman Piper Nelson-Snyder was named Fences Rider of the Week by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference for Sewanee's NCEA Equestrian team as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.

The Plains, Va. native earned Most Outstanding Player honors in the Tigers 5-4 victory over third-ranked Lynchburg. Nelson-Snyder won twice in fences this weekend as the Tigers went 1-1 against conference foes in single-discipline equestrian. She scored an 86 on Carlson, topping the 83 posted by Hornets' standout Fallyn Belcastro, and the day prior, she posted an 82-80 win over Sweet Briar's Maggie Booth while again riding Carlson.

The NCEA team will host Bridgewater on Nov. 15 for their next NCEA competition at Sewanee before traveling on Sunday to face Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga.
