SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee dropped a 6-4 decision to Bridgewater College in NCEA action Friday despite outscoring the Eagles in raw points by 30.
Addison Durrett earned Most Outstanding Player honors in Fences.
The Tigers outscored Bridgewater, 3-2, in the Fences competition, with
Emma Sameth, Durrett and
Rebecca Love all earning points for Sewanee.
Sameth was first in the ring and scored 83 on Tuck while Durrett posted an 86 on Ben and Love registered a 79 on Klacid.
Olivia Carmouche was edged out by Willow Wright on Gordy and
Piper Nelson was defeated by Piper Harris on Leo.
Sewanee lost four points to Bridgewater in the Flat competition. Love secured her point on the flat aboard Ben, earning an 85. Campbell Flannigan recorded her career-high score of 94 on the flat on Dekkar but was beaten by Margaret Brown by one point.
Durrett lost to Jimenia Garcia Nunez on Klacid and Carmouche was defeated by MacKenzie Bingham on Carl. Sameth scored 89 on the flat on Archie but fell to a record-breaking perfect score of 100 by Wright.
