Nelson earns ODAC Flat Rider of the Week honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Piper Nelson earned the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Rider of the Week award on Tuesday afternoon, as announced by the conference office.

The sophomore was named Flat Rider of the Week for her performance against No. 1 Lynchburg in the ODAC single-discipline dual meet. Nelson earned an 87 on Archie, leading the Tigers to a 3-2 flat win, and Most Outstanding Player honors for the second time this season. The Plains, Va., native tied for the high score in the section and meet with a score of 87.

Nelson's ride recorded the largest margin of victory for the Tigers on the afternoon, with a nine-point victory.
