ATLANTA - On the first official week of the weekly awards for women's lacrosse from the Southern Athletic Association (SAA), sophomore defender
Winnie Pajcic was named the league's Defensive Player of Week after her performance in Sewanee's season opener versus Wisconsin River Falls.
The sophomore forced a career-best 10 turnovers and picked up seven ground balls as she earns her second career weekly honor from the SAA.
Recording 29 caused turnovers a year ago, the Jacksonville, Fla. native was an All-SAA selection last season.
Pajcic and the rest of the Tigers are back on the field Saturday afternoon at Piedmont.
