SEWANEE, Tenn. – Lilly Jordan had a career-high 18 saves, and Marlin Price added four points, but Sewanee's women's lacrosse team fell to Rhodes in the SAA Finals on Saturday afternoon in Memphis, Tenn., 16-9.

Jordan collected 18 saves on 34 shots on goal for a save percentage of 0.529, while adding three ground balls. Marlin Price added two goals and two assists, along with four draw controls, two ground balls, and a caused turnover. Ellen Lewis added two goals and an assist with two draw controls, while Haley Price collected two goals and a draw control. Erika Bolcar, Sally Whitehead, and Sally Herrington added a goal each, while Elizabeth Muller collected two assists.

Izzo Palmer led the Tigers' defense with three caused turnovers and a ground ball, while Ella Townsend added six ground balls and a caused turnover. Sophia Bean added two ground balls, two draw controls, and a caused turnover.

Rhodes gained possession of the first draw control and tested Sewanee's defense early, but Jordan picked up three huge saves, including one from a free-position shot, to keep the Lynx off the scoreboard early. Sewanee capitalized on its first offensive possession, as Marlin Price found the back of the cage after a failed clear by Rhodes. The Lynx, however, answered a minute and a half later to tie the game at 1-1 with 9:31 on the clock. Rhodes maintained possession throughout the remainder of the period, scoring twice more and holding Sewanee to just three more shots in the period. Jordan collected seven saves in the first period, keeping her team in contention.

Rhodes tacked on another with to open the second period, but Muller connected with Whitehead as the Tigers answered just over a minute later for a two-goal game. Rhodes, however, converted on two free-position goals and added a man-up goal to build a quick five-goal lead. Lewis added a free-position goal for the Tigers, but Rhodes added another man-up goal and added another with 20 seconds left to go into halftime with a 9-3 lead.

Herrington opened scoring in the third with a feed from Lewis, but Rhodes won the resulting draw and answered just 22 seconds later. Price won the next draw control and converted on a free-position shot with 11:31 on the clock. However, a turnover by the Tigers led to two back-to-back goals within a minute of each other to push their lead back to seven. Sewanee got one goal back as the Price sisters connected with each other, as Haley Price tacked on her first goal of the game with 6:01 on the clock. Neither team scored again to end the third period, as Jordan collected three saves on three Lynx shots.

Rhodes added another man-up goal in the fourth, before Marlin Price won the resulting draw control and Lewis found the back of the cage for Sewanee's seventh goal. Sewanee controlled possession after the goal, as Marin Price won the draw control again, and Herrington's free position shot was high, but Marlin Price picked up the ground ball before again finding her sister, Haley. Sewanee added another goal after a ground ball from Jordan and a good clear, as Muller connected with Bolcar to bring the Tigers within four. However, the Tigers were able to get just three more shots off in the remaining 8:23, as Annabelle Kinzel came up with two saves and the other was off target, as Rhodes added three more goals to secure the 2026 SAA Championships.

Lilly Jordan, Ella Townsend, and Marlin Price were named to the SAA Women's Lacrosse All-Tournament team.
