Sameth takes home High-Point honors for the second day in a row as the Tigers finish second on the final day of IHSA Maryville Show

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Emma Sameth took home the overall high-point champion rider for the second day as Sewanee's Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) took home second place on the final day of the Maryville Fall Show in Maryville, Tenn on Sunday morning.

Sewanee's equestrian team finished second of seven teams, with 26 points, just four points behind Murray State in first.

Emma Sameth continued to dominate on the second day of competition as took home reserve high-point rider for the second day and placed second in open fences and second in the open flat division, taking the overall high-point rider of the show.

For the second day in a row, Nell Grady placed in both the intermediate fences and open flat division. In the intermediate fences, she finished second and placed third in open flat. In the intermediate flat division, Jenna McAmis and Kelly Baumgart both placed again taking third and fourth.

Claire Dillard placed fourth in limit fences and sixth in limit flat and Belle Gampher took home third for the Tigers in the novice division.

In pre-novice A, Mary Pat Colbert placed sixth, and Bailet Pezella also took home sixth in pre-novice B.

Hannah Fitzgerald took home the fourth in the introductory division.

The Tigers finished out their IHSA season this year as their next tournament will be when they travel to MTSU for their spring show on February 10 and 11.
