Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee men's lacrosse team suffered a 19-5 setback to the Quakers of Guilford College in the 2020 season opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon from historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers were able to notch the first goal of the game thanks to an unassisted goal by Drew Mullen with 6:05 left in the opening quarter. However, the Quakers scored eight of the next 10 goals in the first half to lead 8-3 at the break.
-The visitors eventually put the contest away with five of the first six goals in a 10-minute span in the third quarter to lead, 13-4.

-Drew Mullen scored four points thanks to two goals and assists each.
-Thomas Oliver posted two goals and an assist, while Charlie Warren scooped up eight ground balls and won 13 faceoffs.
-Hampton Brannon (0-1) stopped 13 shots in 60 minutes.
GUILFORD KEY STATISTICS
-Derek Zacatenco led the game with five goals and an assist, while Brennan Sweeney added four goals.
-Jack Rogers (1-0) recorded 14 saves in 51 minutes.
