Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's lacrosse team recorded an 8-6 second half, but a strong start by Rhodes was the factor, as the Tigers were defeated by the Lynx, 14-10, Saturday afternoon inside Puett Field in a Southern Athletic Association contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Rhodes started the contest with a 4-0 lead a little over midway through the first half.
-Sewanee avoided the shutout with a man-up goal by Preston Cooper, but the Lynx scored three straight goals to lead 7-1 with 5:18 left in the half and 8-2 at the half.
-The Tigers were able to get the contest down to a two-goal affair, 11-9 with 14 minutes to go on a Kelly Thomsen free position goal, but the visitors scored three straight goals to seal the contest.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Preston Cooper led the Tigers with three goals on the day,
-Sarah Strand finished with two goals and an assist while winning three draws.
-Hattie Fogarty collected seven draw controls and forced three turnovers.
-Brianna Young (4-4) saved seven shots in the first half.
RHODES KEY STATISTICS
-Baylee Parker scored five goals to lead the Lynx. On defense, she caused four turnovers and scooped up four ground balls.
-Annika Hedlund scored seven points on three goals and four assists.
-Lauren Lazure (7-3) saved eight shots in full time.
