Box Score DANVILLE, Ky. - The Sewanee women's lacrosse team's season came to an end on Sunday with an 13-8 loss to the hands of Centre in the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Women's Lacrosse Tournament semifinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Centre controlled the contest from the start, scoring the first three goals in the first 8:17 of the contest.
-Sewanee made it a 4-2 contest after a Grace Zechman goal at the 18:56 mark of the opening half, the the Lynx went on a 5-1 run the rest of the half to lead 9-3 at intermission.
-The Tigers got the contest to a five-goal deficit three times in the second half, but could not string a rally late.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Sarah Strand scored her second hat trick of the season on four total shots. She also won five draw controls.
-Also winning five draws in Grace Fulton, who also caused four turnovers and scooped up eight groundballs.
-Preston Cooker tallied three assists, while Molly Elkins scored twice.
-Amanda Jenkins (6-1) saved 15 shots in full time for the Tigers.
CENTRE KEY STATISTICS
-Hannah Bellamah totaled eight points thanks to five goals and three assists. She also won five draws, collected six grounders and forced two turnovers.
-Natalie Marek (15-2) saved eight shots in the cage.
