HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee got the scoring started two and a half minutes into the contest with a Sarah Strand goal.
-The Lynx responded with six straight goals in about a 15-minute span before ending the half on a 5-1 run to lead 11-2 at intermission.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Sarah Strand, Kelly Thomsen, Molly Elkins, Preston Cooper, Ceara Caffrey and Mary Kate Myers each netted a goal for the Tigers.
-Grace Fulton scooped up three ground balls.
-Brianna Young (0-1) recorded seven saves and four ground balls, while Amanda Jenkins saved five shots in the second half.
RHODES KEY STATISTICS
-Kendall Cunningham led all scorers with five goals, while Ashley Doyle and Maggie Rippeto netted four goals each.
-Lauren Lazure (1-0) saved nine shots in the win.
