Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. (Sept. 20, 2015) – Behind a strong offensive output, visiting Methodist defeated the Sewanee men's soccer team 5-0, Sunday, at Puett Field.
The Tigers (2-4-1) fell behind in the 21st minute as Fredrick Aalberg scored off a pass from Seth Harrison. After another Aalberg goal pushed the Methodist lead to 2-0, Tyler Ursuy netted a goal in the 35th minute, which gave the Monarchs at 3-0 halftime advantage.
Out of the intermission, Methodist kept on the attack. The Monarchs added two more goals, one by Trevor Hendricks and another by Seth Harrison.
Overall, Methodist held a 14-7 advantage in shots. Chris Haberstroh and Ryan MacDonald, who each had two shots, paced the Tigers on offense.
Sewanee returns to action with a 6:00 p.m. match against Emory, Wednesday.
