Sewanee's
Layne Ezzell opened up the scoring for the visiting Tigers in the ninth minute after knocking in an unassisted goal to put Sewanee up 1-0 early in the first half. Faith Spencer recorded an unassisted goal in the 46th minute. Spencer's goal put the Tigers up 2-1, but the lead was short-lived. In the 57th minute, Kellogg put her second goal of the night past Sewanee keeper
Grace Saunders, knotting the game at 2-2.
The score remained tied through the end of regulation, as neither the Tigers nor the Buffaloes were able to find the back of the net for the rest of the second half. The Tigers worked hard to create opportunities, taking 15 shots in just the second half, but weren't able to capitalize on any.
