SEWANEE, Tenn. -- The Sewanee women's lacrosse team hosted Agnes
Scott Tuesday night and after leading 13-5 at the half, took home
the eventual 22-6 win. Eleven different Tiger players scored in the
game.
Molly Arnold (Brooklandville, Md., Bryn Mawr) led
Sewanee's scoring with five goals and also added two assists.
Megan Welton (Germantown, Tenn., Houston) scored three
goals. Steffi Renninger (Darnestown, Md., Sidwell
Friends) led Sewanee with five ground balls. Rebecca Rowe led
the Scotties with four goals and Scottie goalie Mia Jacintho had 20
saves in goal. Amy Nusbaum (Norfolk, Va., Norfolk
Academy) and Theresa Monypeny (Memphis, Tenn.,
Hutchinson) split time in goal for Sewanee in the win.
Sewanee led 52-17 in shots and 29-20 in ground balls.
The Tigers are 9-2 and will play at Greensboro and Guilford this
weekend. Agnes Scott is now 4-8.
