Gambier, Ohio – Sewanee women's lacrosse led 9-7 at the half at Kenyon Saturday, but the host Ladies rallied in the second half to get the eventual 18-16 win.

Steffi Renninger (Darnestown, Md., Sidwell Friends) led the Tiger effort with five goals on the day.
Megan Welton (Germantown, Tenn., Houston) had four goals and
Molly Arnold (Brooklandville, Md., Bryn Mawr) and
Carly Grimm (South Salem, N.Y., John Jay) each scored three goals. Emily Nichols led Kenyon with five goals.
In goal
Amy Nusbaum (Norfolk, Va., Norfolk Academy) and
Theresa Monypeny (Memphis, Tenn., Hutchinson) split time in goal for Sewanee. For Kenyon, Chase Kreuter faced 44 Sewanee shots and earned 16 saves and the win. Sewanee outshot Kenyon 44-29 and picked up 24 ground balls compared to 23 for Kenyon.
Sewanee is now 7-2 and will host Carthage Monday evening. Kenyon is unbeaten at 4-0.
