SEWANEE, Tenn. – Marlin Price recorded 10 points and reached the 200-point milestone for her career, leading Sewanee's women's lacrosse team to a dominant 24-5 victory over DePauw on Senior Day Saturday afternoon.

Price totaled seven assists and three goals while adding two ground balls and a draw control. Sally Herrington posted four goals and an assist with two ground balls and a draw control, while Sophia Bean contributed two goals on two shots, along with two draw controls and two ground balls.

Erika Bolcar, Sally Whitehead, Katherine Clark, Elizabeth Muller, and Ellen Lewis each scored twice, while Kennedy Harcourt, Alex Kelly, Alexa Berg, Grayson Pitts, and Clara Early added one goal apiece.

Defensively, Ella Townsend led the Tigers with four caused turnovers and a ground ball. Izzo Palmer caused three turnovers, and Bolcar added two. Early paced the team with four ground balls.

Berg opened the scoring with an assist to Herrington, but DePauw answered with a man-up goal just 1:42 later. Price notched her first point after a caused turnover by Helen Newcomb and a ground ball pickup from Lilly Jordan, later finding Herrington with 3:33 remaining in the first quarter to give Sewanee a 3-1 lead.

DePauw responded with two quick goals to tie the game at 3-3 early in the second, but Sewanee quickly took control. Bean secured the draw, and Herrington connected with Muller to spark a four-goal run. Lewis assisted Berg, Price found Bolcar, and Berg set up Herrington as the Tigers built a four-goal cushion. After a brief DePauw response, Sewanee added four more goals in a three-minute stretch to extend the lead to 11-4 before the visitors scored in the final minute of the half.

The Tigers broke the game open in the third quarter, using a 7-0 run to take full command. Herrington scored on a free-position attempt, and Price followed with a goal before assisting Lewis. After Magee controlled the draw, Bean scored twice in succession. Price later assisted Kelly, and Sewanee capped the period with a man-down goal from Lewis off a feed from Price with seven seconds remaining.

Sewanee continued to dominate in the fourth, adding six more goals while maintaining possession throughout the period.

Overall, the Tigers outshot DePauw 42-7, including a 31-6 advantage on goal, and committed just nine turnovers compared to 24 by the visitors.

Sewanee returns to conference play Sunday, hosting Southwestern at noon.
