SEWANEE, Tenn. -- The Sewanee women's lacrosse team hosted North Central (Ill.) on Monday night and after leading 15-3 at the half, brought home a 20-5 win.

Steffi Renninger (Darnestown, Md., Sidwell Friends) had three goals to lead Sewanee. Fellow senior
Eliza Epps (Little Rock, Ark., Mt. St. Mary) chipped in a goal, also. 13 different Sewanee players scored on the night. Amy Frazzini and Caroline Gulley led the Cardinals with two goals each. In goal,
Amy Nusbaum (Norfolk, Va., Norfolk Academy)and
Theresa Monypeny (Memphis, Tenn., Hutchinson) split time for Sewanee and each had two saves. Allie Jones had four saves for North Central.
As a team, Sewanee outshot North Central 28-12 and picked up 24 ground balls compared to just 18 for the Cardinals.Sewanee got 18 draw controls and the Cardinals got eight.
Sewanee is now 6-1 and will play at Denison and Kenyon this weekend. North Central is now 0-2.
