Tigers Fall to LaGrange College

2/21/10 – The Sewanee Tigers were defeated by the LaGrange College Panthers today in baseball action by the score of 29-1.

 

Sewanee picked up its only run in the top of the third inning when Franklin Pogue (Nashville, Tenn., Father Ryan) singled home Alan Komorowski (Rochester, N.Y., Aquinas Institute) who had doubled to lead off the inning.

 

Chase Riemer (Chattanooga, Ga., Baylor) worked 3.1 innings and was charged with the loss on the mound for the Tigers.

 

Pogue went 2-for-3 to lead Sewanee at the plate.

 

The Panthers outhit the Tigers 16-8.  Sewanee committed nine costly errors in the field.

 

The Tigers are now 0-3 on the season and will travel to Maryville College on Thursday for a game at 4 pm
