Men's Soccer Drops Opener in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Sewanee men's soccer team dropped its season opener in Birmingham Friday night with a 3-0 loss to the Choctaws of Mississippi College. Michael Cooper from Mississippi scored a pair of unassisted goals in the first ten minutes of the match and the 2-0 tally would carry the Choctaws into the halftime break. Cooper added one more in the 74th minute to secure the 3-0 final tally in favor of Mississippi College. The Tigers are 0-1 and will face Blackburn at host Birmingham-Southern Sunday at Noon.
