Clare Ashburn (Washington, D.C., Holton-Arms) scored the winning goal for Sewanee in the 62nd minute after a scoreless first half.
Sewanee outshot Hendrix 22-13 and had the penalty corner edge 13-10. Senior
Emily Detmer (Denver, Colo., Pomfret) earned the shutout in goal and had 10 saves. Alyssa Havens had eight saves.
Sewanee is now at .500 with a 4-4 record and is 1-3 in the SCAC. The Tigers will play at Transylavania and Centre in Kentucky next weekend. Hendrix is now 2-5 overall.
