Ramsey, Harcourt earn First Team All-CFHC honors for field hockey

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee sophomores Shepard Ramsey and Kennedy Harcourt earned First Team All-Collegiate Field Hockey Conference honors and sophomore Catherine Crane garnered Second Team accolades, as announced by the conference office Wednesday.

Ramsey netted six goals with four assists, starting all 16 games for the Tigers. The Richmond, Va., native scored two goals in league play from the midfield and scored on 69 percent of her shots for the year. Ramsey garnered First Team All-CFHC accolades last season.

Harcourt anchored the Tigers' backline, starting all 16 minutes and playing 963 total minutes. The Louisville, Ky., native posted one assist along with a defensive save in conference play and added to the offensive attack with four shots, three on goal. Harcourt was the CFHC Newcomer of the year and earned First Team All-CFHC accolades her freshman year.

Crane led the Tigers with 13 goals and three assists as a forward, with 64 percent of her shots on goal for the year. The Houston, Texas, native collected three game-winning goals against Bridgewater College, Transylvania University and Meredith College.

Sophomore Kylie Carter was named to the CFHC All-Sportsmanship team.

Sewanee takes on Centre College at 11 a.m. Thursday in the quarterfinals of the CFHC Championships in Fond du Lac, Wis.
