Bowman, Waters named WGCA All-American Scholar

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Elizabeth Bowman and Rachel Waters were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, as announced by the organization on Monday afternoon.

To earn the distinction, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and remain on the team's roster through the conclusion of the season, and compete in at least 50 percent of their institution's regularly scheduled competitive rounds through the conference championship.

The 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team featured 1,551 women's collegiate golfers from across the country recognized for their excellence both in the classroom and on the course. 

Bowman and Waters each earned the honor following impressive freshman campaigns for the Tigers.

Bowman, a native of College Grove, Tenn., concluded the season ranked No. 53 in the region and No. 201 nationally. She recorded a ninth-place finish at the Southern Athletic Association Championship before tying for 144th at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship. Bowman posted two top-three finishes during the season while averaging 78.8 strokes per round.

Waters, from Nashville, Tenn., finished the year ranked No. 54 in the region and No. 211 nationally. She placed seventh at the SAA Championship and tied for 137th at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship. Waters finished her rookie season with a 78.6 scoring average.
