Catapano named All-American

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee women's golfer Natalie Catapano earned Second Team All-America honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).

Catapano also garnered WGCA All-Region honors in Southeast Region II, becoming one of the nation's top first-year golfers after an exceptional debut campaign on the Mountain.

The Pacific Palisades, Calif., native swept the Southern Athletic Association's top individual awards, earning both Co-Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors while leading the Tigers throughout the 2025-26 season.

Catapano finished the year with a team-best 72.9 scoring average over 25 rounds and concluded the season ranked No. 18 nationally and No. 5 in Southeast Region II. She claimed two individual tournament titles, including medalist honors at the SAA Championship, where she won by an impressive 10 strokes after carding three consecutive rounds under par for a 54-hole total of 4-under 212.

Across nine tournaments, Catapano recorded five Top-10 finishes and two additional Top-15 performances while consistently ranking among the nation's top players. She posted three rounds in the 60s and recorded 12 rounds of 75 or better during her freshman campaign.

Catapano capped her season with a strong performance at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship, shooting a final-round 1-over 73 to finish tied for 16th nationally with a four-round total of 293. She birdied the opening hole before closing her round with eight consecutive pars to secure one of the best NCAA Championship finishes in program history.
