Six named to Men's Academic All-District At-Large

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Six Tigers were honored on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams for the Men's At-Large category. Four men's lacrosse players and two golfers were selected.

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a minimum 3.5 grade-point average. Each sport included in the at-large category also had separate performance and participation-based requirements that had to be met by all nominees.

Gus Albright, Sage Cookerly, Will Kennedy, and Henry Westfall on the men's lacrosse team, and Elias Becker and Niel Phillips on the men's golf team, were named CSC Academic All-District.

Cookerly and Becker earned the honor for the second time in their careers, while all other honorees were listed for the first time.

Elias Becker was selected to advance to the Academic All-America ballot, which will be voted on by CSC members. All-America teams will be announced on July 8.
