Becker, Phillips named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Elias Becker and Niel Phillips have been named 2025-26 Cobalt All-American Scholars for NCAA Division III, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Monday afternoon.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nominations, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

261 NCAA Division III athletes from 95 schools earned 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors.

Phillips earned the honor for the first time in his career, while Becker earned honors for the second time. Both golfers were a part of the team that won the SAA Championships for the second year in a row and finished 4th at the NCAA Championships. Becker was named PING Honorable Mention All-American, All-Region IV, and First Team All-SAA while Phillips earned First Team All-SAA. Becker and Phillips also garnered College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
