Softball places four on CSC Academic All-District

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's softball team placed four student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Grace Black, Christian Cain, Ansley Giffin, and Madilyn Parker represent the Tigers on the list. The honor marks the second in their career for Black, Cain, and Parker, and the first for Giffin.

Each school with a CSC membership may submit up to five Academic All-District nominations for softball. Each nominee must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore in academic standing, and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched in 35 innings.
