Tudor garners last SAA Athlete of the Week honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Aidan Tudor earned SAA Athlete of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Tudor finished third among 81 individuals at the Discover Dekalb Emory Invitational in Conyers, Ga, helping the Tigers to a second-place team finish. He posted rounds of 71-69 on the first day with seven combined birdies (with 23 pars) as well as a hole-in-one on the 138-yard 12th hole in the first round. He added three more birdies in the final round on a day when the average score was two-plus strokes higher than the first day. It marks his second third-place showing of the academic year and second in three tournaments after tying for third at the Jekyll Island Collegiate last month.

The Tigers will open post-season play in the SAA Championships this Friday at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn.
