SEWANEE, Tenn. – Emma Sameth tied for High Point Rider, as the Sewanee IHSA Equestrian Team earned a share of first place on day one of the Middle Tennessee Show on Saturday morning.
The Tigers finished tied atop the team standings with Middle Tennessee State University, as both squads totaled 36 points.
Sameth claimed first-place finishes in both open fences and open flat to secure High Point Rider honors. Isabella Fioretti followed with a second-place ride in open fences, while Kelly Baumgart added a third-place finish in open flat.
In limit fences, Maeve Raible took home first place, while Isabelle Gentle placed fifth. The Tigers also found success in limit flat, with London Eller earning third and Raible adding a fourth-place finish.
Fioretti capped her day with a fourth-place ride in intermediate flat. Abdul Mafalhi contributed a second-place finish in the pre-novice division, while Isabela Cancado placed third in the introductory division.
Sewanee returns to action on Sunday for day two of the MTSU IHSA Show.
