SEWANEE, Tenn. – Freshman
Natalie Catapano earned SAA Women's Golfer of the Week accolades Wednesday after claiming low medalist honors at the Montgomery Intercollegiate.
The Pacific Palisades, Calif., native tied the school-record with a four-under par 68 in the first round at Montgomery Country Club in Montgomery, Ala., posting five birdies with an eagle on the par-5 18
th hole. She added five more birdies in the second round, carding a one-over 73 and claimed a four-shot victory over Mary Hardin-Baylor's Camryn Kiser and Julia Sosa.
Catapano is the first Sewanee player to win a tournament since
Sabrina Nesbitt and Merrick Semans tied for first at the Music City Invitational on March 2-3, 2024.
