SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee senior
Jane Stilz earned SAA Women's Golfer of the Week honors Wednesday after placing sixth at the Transylvania Kickoff Classic, as announced by the league office.
The Lexington, Ky., native carded rounds of two-under 71 and four-under 77 on The Big Blue Course at the University of Kentucky. She posted six birdies in the first round and one in the second, collecting 20 pars over the 36 holes. The sixth-place individual finish is the best of Stilz's career, just ahead of two seventh-place showings previously – at the Chick-fil-A Invitational as a freshman and at Transylvania as a sophomore.
Sewanee plays again Sept. 21-22 at the Montgomery Women's Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Ala.
