Klesyk joins Field Hockey staff

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Head Field Hockey Coach Haley Overstreet has announced the addition of Taylor Klesyk as the new assistant coach for the field hockey program.

Klesyk arrives on the Mountain after serving as a graduate assistant coach at Springfield College, where she was actively involved in all aspects of the program. Her responsibilities included planning and running daily practices, leading attacking drills, managing game-day substitutions, and coordinating travel logistics for away contests. She also served as a teaching fellow in Springfield's Physical Education and Health Education Department.

A former standout player at Western New England University, Klesyk was a five-year member of the Golden Bears' field hockey team. She was named to the NFHCA All-Region Team in 2022 and earned back-to-back All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) First Team honors in 2021 and 2022. She was also recognized on the NFHCA National Academic Squad during her career.

Klesyk earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing from Western New England in 2022 and completed her Master of Education in Sport Management and Recreation at Springfield College.

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Klesyk has worked as a camp director for Skyhawks Sports Academy and coached youth hockey with the Hamden Youth Hockey Association.
