Field Hockey announces 2025 schedule

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee field hockey head coach Haley Overstreet has announced the team's 2025 schedule, which features six home games and five conference matchups.

The Tigers open the regular season with six consecutive road contests, beginning in Maryland with games against St. Mary's and Stevenson on Aug. 30-31. The following weekend, Sewanee heads to Bridgewater, Va., for a neutral-site matchup with Virginia Wesleyan on Sept. 6, followed by a game against host Bridgewater on Sept. 7. The Tigers then travel to Ohio to face Denison and Kenyon on Sept. 12-13.

Sewanee will play its home opener on Saturday, Sept. 20, against Wittenberg.

The team returns to Virginia the next weekend to take on Roanoke (Sept. 27) and Lynchburg (Sept. 28).

Sewanee will celebrate 50 years of field hockey on the Mountain with a special weekend that includes a home game against Transylvania on Saturday, Oct. 4, and a matchup with Meredith on Monday, Oct. 6. Conference play begins Saturday, Oct. 11, when the Tigers host Rhodes.

The Tigers will travel to Centre on Oct. 18 and visit Transylvania once more for their final non-conference game. Sewanee wraps up its home slate against Concordia Wisconsin and Marian on Oct. 25-26.

The regular season concludes on Nov. 2 with a road game at Mary Washington. The CFHC Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 5-9 at Marian in Fond du Lac, Wis.
