SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has inducted 104 student-athletes into the Sigma Alpha Alpha Honor Society, as announced by the league office on Friday afternoon. Of those honored, 21 are from Sewanee.
The Sigma Alpha Alpha Honor Society is one of the most prestigious honors in the conference. Student-athletes must have excelled both athletically and academically in their playing careers. To qualify, student-athletes must have been a graduating senior and posted a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. They also must have earned a place on either the All-SAA First-Team or All-SAA Second-Team at least once in their playing career and have competed in their senior season.
