IHSA closes fall semester at Centenary Tournament of Champions

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's IHSA Equestrian Team Competed at the Tournament of Champions in Long Valley, N.J., at Centenary on Saturday, placing 14th in a highly competitive 16-team field. 

Olivia Carmuche led the way for Sewanee with two top-six rides in the Open divisions, placing fourth in Open Fences and sixth in Open Flat. She also competed in the High Medal.

Lily Carter posted three strong performances on the day, earning sixth in Intermediate Fences, fifth in Limit Flat, and finishing third in the Low Medal class.

Isabella Fioretti added a sixth-place finish in Intermediate Flat, while Elise Gierhart rode in Limit Fences. Afton Parks represented Sewanee in Novice, and Caroline Holland secured the team's highest individual placement with a second-place finish in Intro.

Sewanee will travel to Savannah, Ga. to compete in the Tournament of Champions hosted by SCAD to open the new year on January 24.
