Women's indoor track and field picked eighth in SAA Preseason Poll

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's women's indoor track and field program was projected to finish eighth in the Southern Athletic Association Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released by the conference office on Friday.

Defending conference champion Centre topped the poll with 67 points and four first-place votes. Trinity was close behind with 66 points and also garnered four first-place votes. Berry claimed third place with 61 points and one first-place vote, followed by Rhodes with 50 points. Oglethorpe and Southwestern shared fifth place, each collecting 38 points.

The Tigers totaled 28 points in the preseason poll, placing eighth overall and just one point behind Maryville (29).

Sewanee will begin its 2026 indoor slate on Feb. 14 at the Centre Invitational before hosting the Sewanee Indoor Open on Feb. 21.
