SEWANEE, Tenn. – Senior Sam Ude won the steeplechase and sophomore
Declan Oberlies finished third in the same event while senior
Sam Leonard and sophomore
Elliott Allen both placed seventh in their respective events for the Sewanee track and field teams Saturday at the Lee University Invitational in Cleveland, Tenn.
Ude won the steeplechase in 12:45.34, almost a minute ahead of her closest competitor, while Oberlies placed third in 10:32.12, behind Lee's Stephen Clark and Campbellsville University's Samuel Larson.
Leonard tied for seventh in the high jump, clearing 6-feet, 0.75-inches and Allen placed seventh in the pole vault with a mark of 12-feet, 7.5-inches.
Senior
Erin Graffeo finished 10
th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:18.46 and sophomore
Arianna Shirak posted a time of 12.72 in 100-meters, second-best in school history.
Sewanee competes again this coming Friday at the Mountainside Stride in Lookout Mountain, Ga.
