SEWANEE, Tenn. – Freshman
Maeve Fitzgerald shot five-over 78 and Sewanee women's golf placed sixth on Tuesday at the Chick-fil-A Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Ga.
The Tigers posted a team score of 323 in the second round, finishing behind four teams that are ranked in the Top 50 nationally.
Fitzgerald bogeyed her first hole of the round at No. 15 but birdied holes 17 and 18. The Meridian, Idaho, native collected seven pars with one bogey and one double bogey on the front nine. She made another bogey and double to start the back nine but finished with three pars for a five-over 78, tying for 11
th with a 36-hole score of 155.
Junior
Olivia Bentley posted three bogeys in her first five holes after starting at No. 14. The Nashville, Tenn., native shot three-over on the front nine with six pars and three bogeys. She recorded three more pars and one bogey, carding a seven-over 80 and a two-day total of 163, tied for 23
rd.
Freshman
Anna Louise Chesnut opened the day at No. 14 with four pars and a bogey before making the turn. The Athens, Ala., native posted four bogeys with three pars and a birdie on No. 7 on the front nine. She finished the round with two pars, one bogey and a double for an 82 and a 36-hole score of 174, tied for 54
th.
Freshman
Lila Weaver collected three bogeys in five holes to start the day. The Saint Johns, Fla., native netted three pars, five bogeys and a birdied at No. 9 on the front nine. She posted three bogeys and one par to complete the round with an 83 and a two-day total of 168, tied for 36
th.

Elizabeth Bowman recorded three pars with a bogey to make the turn. The College Grove, Tenn., native netted three pars with five bogeys and a birdie at No. 5 on the front nine. She finished with two bogeys and a par for an 85 and a 36-hole score of 169, tied for 42
nd.
Senior
Mary Elizabeth Jackson, playing as an individual, registered four pars and three bogeys on the back nine. The Hartwell, Ga., native collected five pars and four bogeys on the front, shooting an 87 for a two-day total of 172, tied for 51
