Sam Leonard finished fourth in the high jump for the men and junior
Jocelyn Covaney placed fifth in the 60-meter hurdles for the women, leading the Sewanee track teams on Saturday at the Centre Invitational in Danville, Ky.
Leonard finished fourth in the high jump, clearing 6-feet, 2.75-inches, and the Jasper, Ind., native was part of the men's 4x400-meter relay along with freshman
Jimmy Holmes, sophomore
Lane Gamble and sophomore
Gavin Stallings that placed fifth in 3:39.13.
Covaney finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.51 while sophomore
Sam Ude placed sixth in the 5000-meters, completing the event in 20:29.03. Freshman
Page Wells finished seventh in the 600-meters with a time of 1:55.78 and sophomore
Kylene Monaghan and freshman
Wrenna Morris placed 10
th and 11
th, respectively, in the 400-meters with times of 1:07.14 and 1:08.71.
The women's 4x400 relay of Covaney, Monaghan, Morris and Wells was seventh in 4:33.95. Morris also cleared 8-feet, 5.25 inches in the pole vault for third place.
Sewanee will host an indoor meet next Saturday at the Fowler Center before returning to Danville in two weeks for the SAA Indoor Championships on Feb. 23-24.
