CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The University of the South women's golf team opens the 2022-23 season ranked 22nd in the preseason Mizuno Coaches Poll, administered by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).

Sewanee is coming off a second place finish at the 2022 SAA Championships last spring. The Purple and White have three returning All-Conference selections, led by first teamer Nicole Nesbitt. Merrick Semans and Sabrina Nesbitt were also chosen to the Second Team.

Sewanee joins Centre (9th), Rhodes (16th) and Berry (21st) from the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) in the top-25. Oglethorpe is also listed as receiving votes.

The Tigers open the 2022-23 campaign with the National Championship Fall Preview from Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, the site of the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships. The national preview is set to begin on Sept. 18.
