A Message from Director of Athletics John Shackelford - Hall of Fame Release Dates

Dear Sewanee Alumni,

The Department of Athletics and the Sewanee Athletics Hall of Fame are pleased to announce that, after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hall of Fame Selection Committee has elected the classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 for induction. These classes will be announced as follows: Please follow Sewanee Athletics online at sewaneetigers.com and on social media, @SewaneeTigers, for the official announcements of the Classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022.

We are also making plans to hold Hall of Fame celebrations on campus again beginning this September and will restart this tradition by inducting the very special Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the passage of Title IX, which transformed the landscape of athletic opportunities for young women across the country. Therefore, we will honor the 50th year of Title IX and the 50th year of women's athletics on the Mountain with a remarkable Hall of Fame induction class of only women for 2022.

We will also acknowledge those trailblazers who helped paved the way for our women's teams of today. The trailblazers have incredible stories and, while not Hall of Fame induction candidates, have an important place in Sewanee Athletics history. It will be a very special night.

The classes of 2020 and 2021 will be inducted next year (fall of 2023) along with members of the Class of 2023.
