Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - Despite a slow first quarter that saw Wesleyan lead the contest for almost a full minute, the Sewanee women's basketball team held the visitors to 20 points in the second and third quarters en route to a 76-57 victory on Tuesday from Juhan Gymnasium to snap the Tigers' five-game losing streak. This was Sewanee's final non-conference contest of the 2019-20 campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers saw the Wolves had a 16-14 advantage after one quarter of play. However, the hosts reclaimed the lead thanks to a 12-3 run to lead for good, 26-19.
-Sewanee secured the contest in the third stanza, outscoring Wesleyan 25-9 on 10-of-16 shooting. The Tigers also corralled the boards, 11-2, in the period.
-For the game, Sewanee outrebounded the visitors, 45-22, including 14-2 on the offensive glass.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-After recording three personal fouls in the first quarter, Kinsley Logan sat the second quarter and came out strong in the final 20 points. The sophomore scored 16 points, 11 in the third period, and shot 6-of-9 from the field.
-Bella Bombassi was a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor and added a free throw for a total of 13 points. The junior added eight boards.
-Abby Young and Ellie Treanton added 12 points each. Treanton also contributed six boards and three dimes.
-Allison Hitchcock posted 10 points in 20 bench minutes.
-The Tigers had season bests in points (76), field goals made (30), 3-pointers made (10), assists (19) and points in the paint (38).
WESLEYAN KEY STATISTICS
-Natera Perkins dropped a game-high 26 points in 27 bench minutes.
-Aubry Maulden added 11 points.

The Tigers resume conference play on Friday night with the defending Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament Champions in Rhodes. Tip off is slated for 6 p.m. inside Juhan Gymnasium.
